The Swedish International Agricultural Network Initiative, SIANI, is an open and inclusive network that supports and promotes multisector dialogue and action around our vision of sustainable agriculture for food security, improving nutrition and the eradication of hunger.

In 2022, SIANI strengthened its presence online and organised several events together with partners at high-level meetings in Sweden and globally. SIANI also established new and strengthened partnerships, continued its work with its Expert Groups, and organised three members’ meetings to consolidate the objectives of the new programme phase. SIANI will move into this new phase in 2023, working towards contributing to more sustainable, rights based and inclusive food systems. SIANI will primarily work towards the recognition of rural youth, smallholders’ and SMEs’ prosperity in value chains in local production systems and livelihoods and rights of forest communities, Indigenous peoples and natural resource-dependent poor.
