Community Feedback Survey on Railway Operations
Conducted by: Thomas Square Neighborhood Association (TSNA)
The impact of railway operations in Savannah is a growing concern for our community, affecting everything from noise levels and structural integrity to traffic flow and environmental safety. At a recent City Hall meeting, residents and local leaders discussed key issues, including excessive train noise, deteriorating railroad crossings, chemical spraying along rail lines, and traffic disruptions caused by stopped trains. Proposed solutions range from expanding Quiet Zones and replacing asphalt crossings with concrete to implementing eco-friendly practices and regulating train schedules.
We need your input to address these challenges effectively. Your feedback will help us identify priority issues and work with city leaders to develop sustainable solutions that enhance safety, quality of life, and infrastructure in our community. Please take a few moments to complete this survey and share your experiences. Together, we can create a better future for Savannah.
