  • Legislation proposes to expand efforts to prevent the infestation and spread of golden mussels and also enable recreational boaters to have reasonable access to inland waterbodies.
2.What is your level of interest in:

Imposition of a sticker and fee requirement on non-motorized vessels?
  • Consideration is being given to requiring recreational vessels without engines to obtain and pay for a sticker to be affixed to the hulls.
3.What is your level of interest in:

Restraints on the use of copper-based anti-fouling coatings to address impaired water bodies.
  • Legislation proposes to re-open the state registration of these coatings and establish best methods to address their contribution to impaired bodies of water.

  • The plan continues to be pursued as a climate adaptation for California's water system.
