What should HDC focus on in 2020?

Each year, HDC surveys members to identify policies for possible inclusion in our annual policy priorities. Member participation in creating and advocating for our priorities is vital to our advocacy success. The time to begin this process for 2020 has come!

Please use this survey tool to share with us what you would like the HDC Board to consider including in our 2020 priorities. To see our current advocacy priorities, which include items in the categories of "Fund Affordable Homes," "Build and Maintain Inclusive Communities," "Improve Health of Housing," and "Support the Development and Implementation of Housing Strategy Plans throughout King County," click here. Ongoing, historic, and recurring issues that have already been defined as priorities, such as funding for the State or Eastside Housing Trust Funds, do not need to be submitted.

HDC staff may follow up with you with questions about your submission. Submissions and current priorities will be reviewed with the Policy Advisory Group and Board to decide on carryover items. If you are interested in joining the Policy Advisory Group, please contact patience@housingconsortium.org

This tool is not the only way to engage in our priorities setting process! Over the course of the summer, we will host a handful of in-person work sessions. We will also make available forms to be completed by Affinity Groups and members at events through-out Affordable Housing Week (May 13th to 17th), this year. Contact Patience Malaba for more information.

The deadline to submit an idea through this survey tool is July 2nd at 5:00 pm.
