Help us identify which of these goals to pursue

We have identified some possible long-term, medium-term and short-term goals for the MITEY campaign. Please let us know which you think are most important - and give us your own ideas. Please note, ALL of these goals are funding-dependent, and will rely on multi-agency working. The aim of this survey is to give you an opportunity to help shape our overall direction.

High profile publicity campaign to improve parents' understanding of the need for mixed-gender early years teams
High profile male-inclusive early years careers campaign including TV/radio/billboard advertising
High quality academic research programme aimed at understanding how gender-diverse early years workforces function, and their impact on children
2.Medium term goals (2022 onwards)(Required.)

Work with training providers to agree clear training and career pathways for different groups of boys/men, and promote these nationally
Undertake a national gender equality audit of careers advice services (schools-based and adult), and provide MITEY resources and training
Undertake a local pilot with an early years provider chain, or across a local authority, to improve recruitment of male staff, supported by targeted MITEY resources
3.Short term goals (2020-2022)(Required.)

Ensure high quality, annual reporting on Early Years workforce - including training places - broken down by gender, age and ethnicity
Provide gender awareness training for Early Years employers, training providers, careers advisers
Legislate/issue guidelines to end gender-discriminatory policies on intimate care, and provide a national helpline/information resource for employers/male practitioners
Offer face-to-face and virtual 'learning events' for sharing best practice
Act as the national 'voice' on MITEY issues
