Call for applications: Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership

Question Title

UONGOZI Institute invites applications from leaders working in public, private and civil society organisations for a one-year executive programme, Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership. The programme, undertaken in collaboration with Aalto University Executive Education of Finland (Aalto EE), motivates participants to become better designers and innovators of effective structures and systems for better results. It is designed for leaders who want to propel their professional development without putting their careers on hold.

DELIVERY APPROACH
Hybrid: In-person and virtual. The programme has 10 modules. Each module runs for a period of one month, consisting of intensive in-class workshops (2-3 days) as well as online individual and group assignments. In-person locations include Dar es Salaam, Arusha and Zanzibar.

PROGRAMME REQUIREMENTS

Duration
1 year.

Tuition fee
TZS 23.8 million. The Institute provides an option for candidates to pay in three instalments:

50% in advance of registration (April 2025).
25% in advance of module 4 (August 2025).
25% in advance of module 8 (January 2026).

Scholarships
UONGOZI Institute offers a limited number of merit-based scholarships, including 50% tuition awards, to allow as many leaders as possible to receive this prestigious diploma.

How to apply

Requirements for admission are:

A curriculum Vitae (not exceeding 3 pages).
A motivational statement (between 450 – 500 words) explaining your leadership successes, challenges and reasons for applying for the programme.
Reference letter indicating sponsorship commitment signed by the candidate and his/her sponsor.
Copies of original academic certificates. UONGOZI Institute reserves the rights to verify certificates with issuing institution.
Commitment letter from the employer to confirm the applicant’s full participation in the programme.

Selection criteria include:

Minimum five years of work experience in a managerial or senior specialist position.
Bachelor's degree.
Advanced command of written and spoken English.
Excellent computer skills.
Proficiency in writing academic papers.
