In Federal Budget 2018, the Government of Canada established an Advisory Council on the implementation of National Pharmacare led by Dr. Eric Hoskins, former Ontario Minster of Health. The goal of the Council is to provide independent advice on how to best implement National Pharmacare. A discussion paper, Towards the Implementation of National Pharmacare was circulated by Health Canada in June 2018. The Council will be engaging with key stakeholders in cities across Canada over the next several months. The Council’s final report with recommendations will be delivered in a year’s time.
