Philosophy & Approach

Child Nature Connect provides opportunities for city kids and their parents & caregivers to get outside, connect with the nature, learn & have fun. Caregiver, Family & Kids Programs are provided year round and include Parenting Support, courses, workshops & playgroups in Toronto's parks, green spaces, & near urban environments.

We spend time with little ones on the land, to provide children, their parents & caregivers with experiential learning opportunities to: enrich cognitive development; build empathy; deepen social & emotional connections; provide respite from the pressures of modern life; and provide strategies to support families in their learning  journey.

We believe that children learn best when encountering the world through play and discovery; that taking time to play and engage with nature benefits everyone age 1 to 101, and supports physical and mental well being.  We aim provide an environment that offers free-play and inquiry-driven learning; Opportunities for kids and their trusted adults, parents & caregivers to connect with the natural landscape build skills, community & confidence.
