Survey for Practitioners to Determine Need for Eating Disorder Health Navigators

Help the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals Health and Wellness Committee develop content that will inform professionals for future directions.  This is a short, anonymous survey to gather information to determine the need for an Eating Disorder Health Navigator.

****Description of an Eating Disorder Health Navigator:  A person who is part of a local, multidisciplinary treatment team and who has advanced knowledge and training in eating disorders. This person can disseminate new information to other local providers that will assist in treatment and care decisions, impart information to families and caregivers and train various others in the local region. In some instances, this person may be the only person with advanced knowledge in an area and as such, can be recognized and “marketed” to local providers as a resource if they diagnose a person with an eating disorder. The EDHN in many cases can provide assistance to PCPs who diagnose and ED but then frequently do not have time to coordinate efforts in treatment.
