To be accepted by Nak’azdli Membership
Nak’azdli Whut’en is tasking Keyoh and membership to initiate a process that will activate your visions and goals through a formal governing body to address and develop an acceptable protocol for the administration and disbursement of resource revenues which will enhance Keyoh and Membership to continue land use & strengthen connections.
Description
This process is not replacing the current way that Keyoh’s steward their land base, we hope that it will enhance it. All development and harvesting referrals will continue to be processed in the same format that is in place now. Keyoh holders are the decision-makers for stewardship within their hereditary Keyoh lands.
This is a group of administrators for the purpose of disbursement of funds for Keyoh & membership (yet to be decided)
Nak’azdli Whut’en has a responsibility to provide a fair and equitable opportunity to all membership.
This process could be short or long term! Potentially to continue for generations to come.
Moving Forward – November 2023
Our first survey was posted June 2023 to membership.
With community engagement and feedback, we have created an edited version of the proposed board of directors’ survey to express Nak’azdli Whut’en membership’s ongoing advice and direction.
This survey is open to all membership 18+, it is also open to all the members that already filled out the first survey. The direction has changed to 2 options, we require a new submission.
