Disability Rights UK easy read heatwave survey

Disabled people are more likely to be affected by climate change than people who are not disabled.

Climate change: Our planet Earth is heating up and getting hotter every year. This means that heatwaves will be more common. This is a problem because people need to stay cool.

Very hot weather can affect people in different ways. This can depend on:

· their disability or health condition

· their home

· how much money they have

· the support they need.

We are doing this survey to find out about your experiences of heatwaves and the problems you have with them

Your answers will help us campaign and make better plans for people with disabilities when there are heatwaves.

Keeping your information private:

We may share the survey results with organisations we work with. The results will help improve policies and campaigns.

We will remove names and personal details. No one will know which answers are yours.
