X-HALE Expression of Interest Form |
The Irish Cancer Society wants youth organisations to join us in supporting our young people to become Ireland’s first tobacco free generation.
X-HALE Training for Youth Workers and Volunteers
At the start of each year, we invite staff and volunteers working in out of school settings with young people aged 10-24 to attend a free one day X-HALE Training smoking prevention session.
The session focuses on giving you the skills, confidence and materials you need to tackle smoking issues in your setting. The accompanying X-HALE Training resource provides a framework for facilitating a broad range of smoking prevention sessions in an engaging and empowering way with young people.

X-HALE Short Film Competition
Each year the Irish Cancer Society invite youth organisations to apply for a grant to create and promote a youth led smoking prevention short film. We also provide training and resources to support your organisation in the process. This is a fantastic lead on from X-HALE Training sessions to give your group the opportunity to share what they have learned about the harmful impact of tobacco with their community.
The X-HALE 2019 Short Film Competition is now closed. Register interest to be notified of next years opportunities and visit www.cancer.ie/xhale for more information or contact schadwick@irishcancer.ie, 012316624
