Thank you so much for your interest in the 2017 Workers' Compensation Training, presented by the the State Bar of California, in partnership with the Legal Aid Association of California. 

WHAT: A FREE two-hour in-person training presented by the Workers' Compensation Section of the State Bar for 2 hours of MCLE.*
WHEN: April 7, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
WHERE: State Bar of California, 180 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA 94105. (Note: This will NOT be webcast or recorded. There is paid parking nearby, and the Embarcadero BART stop, as well as the Transbay terminal are within a short distance. More details will be sent via email to all registrants.)

This presentation will give a comprehensive overview of California’s workers’ compensation system.  Issues addressed will include the following:

·         Benefits available to workers’ injured on-the-job.

·         Considerations and methods of settling workers’ compensation cases.

·         Penalties available for certain types of behavior

·         Civil considerations.

·         The discovery process, including the use of agreed medical evaluators and qualified medical evaluators.

·         Fraud, including fraud committed by employees and fraud committed by employers and/or insurance carriers.
