1.About the Award...
The Staten Island Economic Development Corporation (SIEDC) is excited to kick off the nomination process for the 2022 Executive Woman of the Year Award.
Now in its ninth year, this award will be presented to a woman who embodies the core values of: professionalism, desire to encourage the advancement of women in business and contribution to the greater business community. The goal in presenting this award is to shine a spotlight on this individual and her efforts so that she may serve as an inspiration and a role model for others. She will be recognized not only for her efforts on behalf of women, but for her efforts for the greater good of all business people and, by extension, the entire Staten Island community. The award will be presented at the SIEDC's Annual Awards Gala in August.
The criteria for nomination are:
1) The nominee must work on Staten Island; residency is not required
2) The nominee must be employed at a public or private company, non-profit organization or government agency, holding an executive-level position
3) The nominee must have a demonstrable record of promoting the advancement of women in business
4) The nominee must have a demonstrable record of contribution to the Staten Island business community and economic vitality of the borough
Extra consideration will be given to a woman who has made a significant economic contribution in the past year. The nominee is not required to be a member of the SIEDC. Nominations may come from SIEDC members and non-members and will be accepted until April 30, 2022.
