What is the Wirral Personal Assistant Register?

The Wirral Personal Assistant Register is a free service offered by Wirral based charity WIRED to connect employers with personal assistants in Wirral. 
How does it work?
Employers, Direct Payment recipients or individuals funding their own support who have a vacancy for a personal assistant register with the Wirral Personal Assistant Register using this form. WIRED will then email the employer the name and contact details of personal assistants that match the employers needs based on the registration information provided by both the employer and the personal assistant. This will enable the employer to contact the personal assistants directly and make arrangements for interviews etc. WIRED will not share employers details with personal assistant candidates.
Please note - Personal assistants and employers are matched only using the information provided by each at registration. WIRED is not in anyway endorsing or recommending either personal assistants or employers.

Questions 1-36 relate to the recipient of the direct payment, ie, the person who will receive the services funded by the direct payment. If you are a carer completing this form on behalf of the person you care for, there is a section at the end of the form to provide us with your details

37.Terms and conditions of use

The Wirral Personal Assistant Register is owned and administered by WIRED. The service is designed to help personal assistants to find jobs and Employers to find personal assistants. It provides details of personal assistants looking for work to employers with vacancies. In order to use the facilities of the service you need to complete this registration form. Once registered, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions below.
  • The information on personal assistants will only to be used for your own purposes and relevant to finding a personal assistant
  • You will not divulge personal details of personal assistants to any other sources
  • You will not contact the personal assistant's referees until you have made a firm job offer to that personal assistant and they have given you permission to do so
  • WIRED does not take any responsibility for vetting the suitability of personal assistants or their qualifications and you should ensure that you undertake your own checks and take up references in all instances
  • As an Employer you should ensure that you provide your personal assistant with a Contract of Employment setting out the terms and conditions which you both should sign. We also strongly recommend that you should provide a Job Description setting out the main duties of your personal assistant's role
  • We recommend that you undertake Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Checks on anyone you plan to employ before they start working for you
  • We recommend that you do not interview applicants in your own home
  • We recommend that you obtain and check at least 2 references for anyone you are considering employing, one of which should be a previous employer
  • We recommend that you obtain proof of identity for anyone you are considering employing that includes picture ID (Passport, driving licence et) and a recent household bill (not more than 3 months old) that includes proof of address
  • We recommend that you check that anyone you are considering employing has the right to work in the UK
  • We recommend that you ask the applicant to bring details of their qualifications listed with them to interview
  • WIRED reserves the right to remove any user who uses this service, including the information made available through this service, inappropriately.
  • WIRED reserves the right to refuse to publish details posted by users.
  • By sending you details of individuals who have matched your recruitment criteria WIRED is not in any way giving you as the employer any assurance of that individual's suitability, skills or legal status in relation to the vacancy you are looking to fill.
