Thank you for your interest in the Ruth J. Wickemeyer Award for Community Service.

Named for the Foundation’s first Executive Director, this award recognizes paid or volunteer not-for-profit leaders who personify exceptional service to others in the name of community progress. We encourage you to think of people in our community who work tirelessly for our local nonprofits, people who provide exceptional service to others and who maintain the highest ethical standards and express true appreciation for the contributions of others.

Those are the folks who personify the characteristics of the Wickemeyer Award. They deserve recognition for their work and dedication to creating a stronger, more vibrant community and we invite you to nominate them for this award.

To complete the nomination, you will need all of the following:
- Contact information for the nominating organization
- Contact information for the person being nominated
- Evidence that shows how your nominee fits the criteria for this award
- Two letters of support from others. The committee will not consider nominations that do not include two letters of support.

Once you begin the application, you CANNOT save it and continue later. Answers are limited to 500 characters, including spaces, so we suggest you review the questions on the next page, then prepare your answers in Word or a similar program before pasting them into the nomination form.

Deadline to submit a nomination is March 2.

The nominating organization will receive a $1,000 grant from the Foundation if their nominee is chosen for this award. Recipients will be honored at the Foundation's Annual Dinner.
