Sligo Cycling Campaign wants to see Sligo become a cycle friendly town and county which is safe and enjoyable for all ages to cycle in.  We especially want to see a network of cycle lanes around Sligo, making it safe for school children and adults of all ages to cycle to school, work, shops, library, sports grounds, and all local amenities.

Sligo’s newest walking and cycling facility is on the newly opened Western Distributor Road and it is proving hugely popular with people of all ages.  At the moment however, with schools closed and many people working from home traffic on the road is light and safety is not as big a concern as it will be when traffic returns to normal.

If you live close enough to the WDR to walk or cycle on it we’d love you to complete our survey and tell us how you use or plan to use the road and if you have any concerns re access from where you live.
