Careers Wales will hold the information you give us on computer. Under our Privacy Policy we will not use your data for sales and/or marketing purposes unless you have given us explicit consent to receive relevant marketing from us.

We may pass your details on to organisations, including your school, to help you with your careers planning.

Additionally, you may be contacted by an approved third party for the purposes of feedback on the service you have received from us.

Full details of our Privacy Policy can be found on our website careerswales.com.

Careers Wales can work with young people in a number of ways including careers interviews (either face-to-face or through video calls) group sessions (either in person or through webinars) e-mailing, texting, webchat or through our website.  To help us make sure that we work with you in the most appropriate way, we have created this questionnaire which is called Career Check.  We ask clients in Year 10 or 11 in mainstream schools to complete Career Check so that we can have some details about you to help us support you.  Career Check is a snapshot of the way you are thinking at the moment and we know that this can change at any time.

Some of the questions you will answer in Career Check will give us an idea of which Careers Wales services will be most helpful to you to help you make decisions about your career.   This means that the answers in some sections of the questionnaire will be scored.  This is called profiling.  We will tell you which answers are scored later on in the questionnaire.  This doesn’t mean that some answers are better than others; there are no right or wrong answers, but your answers will give us an idea about how you’re feeling about some things to do with your future career.  We will then use these answers, together with other information such as which subjects you’re studying, to help us to provide the most appropriate service to meet your needs.  You can discuss your responses with your Careers Adviser in school.

If you do not want to answer the questions which are used to help us provide a service for you, just let us know and you can skip over those questions.
