Thank you for registering your Expression of Interest for 'Wellah Walk to Kokoda' 2020!

We are really excited to see you here!

With support from Our Spirit Adventures, Spark Health is excited to bring 'Wellah Walk to Kokoda', a health and wellbeing program that will build and inspire positive Aboriginal youth role models in the Western suburbs of Melbourne.

In 2019, young Aboriginal males from the Western suburbs joined the Wellah Walks program and embarked on a journey to complete the Kokoda track in November. To see more of their journey, check out our website here: https://sparkhealth.com.au/pages/wellah-walk

In 2020 we will be selecting Aboriginal females aged between 16-19 to become part of our 'Wellah Walks' program and complete the Kokoda trail in Papua New Guinea from June 26th - July 7th 2020.

Participants will also have the opportunity to:
- increase resilience and improve their health and wellbeing
- grow leadership attributes
- improve cultural knowledge and strengthen identity
- learn about the roles Aboriginal soldiers have played on the Kokoda trail

As part of the program, participants will be expected to participate in the Wellah Together program, attend a number of workshops and hikes in preparation for the trail in 2020.
