Current practices for Weaning from Veno-Venous ECMO: the WeanECMO Survey
Dear Colleague,
We invite you to participate in an international, multicenter, cross-sectional survey on current practices for weaning patients from veno-venous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (V-V ECMO).
This survey aims to explore the criteria used by physicians to assess patient eligibility for ECMO-weaning trials and the methods employed across different ECMO centers.
The survey is anonymous and consists of four domains:
1. General information
2. Criteria for weaning from V-V ECMO
3. Sweep gas-off trial
4. Ventilation modality during the ECMO weaning phase
The survey is endorsed by the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM). It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and can be submitted only once.
We greatly appreciate your time and contribution to this initiative.
