Marin County Real-Time Ridesharing Survey

Marin County, in cooperation with Sonoma and Contra Costa Counties, is engaged in a Real-Time Ridesharing Pilot Program sponsored by the Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). This exciting program will make it easier for residents and employees to carpool and share rides to and from work, major transit connections and other locations. Using Real-Time Ridesharing, carpools are made up “on the fly”, allowing you to choose to share your ride when you want to travel, rather than committing to a regular carpool. Participants in this program will be offered incentives to try Real-Time Ridesharing.

13.With Real-Time Ridesharing, the rider is “charged” a fee of $1.00 plus $0.20 per mile for their trip, and this fee is paid to the driver using an electronic account. No money changes hands during the ride. How would this affect your use of Real-Time Ridesharing? (Check all that apply)
