A Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) is a legal measure under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. It allows councils to place restrictions on public spaces to reduce persistent anti-social behaviour.
Warrington Town Centre are looking to implement a PSPO within the Town Centre with the restrictions detailed in the map below. This is due to ongoing issues concerning anti-social behaviour and the affect that it is having on members of the public and retailers using the space.
In order to assist this, Warrington Town Centre Beat Team would appreciate your feedback to obtain data to assist with the implementation of the PSPO. Should the implementation be successful, this will allow the Police extra powers to deal with those committing anti-social behaviour.
