Healthy Ireland/Club Mark Funding - Walking Tracks

Terms and Conditions

The Football Association of Ireland in association with Healthy Ireland are providing the opportunity to apply for Walking Track funding. The process is currently open to FAI Club Mark 1 & 2 Star clubs across the country. The aim of the funding is to provide an opportunity to develop your facilities to maximise the opportunities for your local community to be physically active and increase the accessibility to your members.
The closing date for clubs is 5:00pm 2nd December 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The funding can be used for the following:
  • Upgrade/maintenance of existing walking track
  • Installation of lighting system to provide extended usage hours to existing walking track
  • Upgrade existing walking track surface to improve accessibility for those with mobility issues e.g. wheelchair users/older persons
Ineligible Projects:
  • Development of new Walking Tracks
  • Projects which already have received funding through other funding initiatives.

Terms and Conditions

Clubs that are successful in their application process will be required to provide the association with the following:

  • 3 Quotes for proposed work
  • Work plan to including completion dates and timelines for all works
  • Title Ownership/Relevant Lease
  • Any relevant planning permission, if this is a requirement for the work

· Work cannot have been started and or completed prior to the allocation of funding.

*Clubs who have previously received funding via the Healthy Ireland/Club Mark Walking Track Fund are ineligible to apply for funding.
