Banana Shire Walking Network Plan - Community Input |
Banana Shire Council is excited to announce the launch of the Walking Local Government Grant Survey, which is an opportunity to shape the future of walking infrastructure in our community. Thanks to the support of the Queensland Government, Council has been presented with an opportunity to enhance our local walking networks and prioritize essential projects that promote pedestrian-friendly environments through the creation of a walking network masterplan.
Your input is invaluable in this process and we invite all residents, businesses and local interest groups to share their perspectives on where walking infrastructure is needed most and what projects should be prioritized. Your feedback will directly influence the decisions Council make and help us create walking environments that are safe, convenient, and enjoyable for everyone.
Council has identified primary locations within each participating town, such as local schools and community hubs. These locations, outlined in the images below, have been identified as locations with increased levels of walking participation and potential areas for improvement. In the survey, you'll have the option to select from these identified locations or add your own suggestions.
