Ownership Capital Lab Survey: EO Capital Roadmap

Survey Background

In 2025, Ownership Capital Lab is leading the development of a field-level Capital Roadmap for Employee Ownership (EO). Kicked off in January 2025, the Roadmap will provide national data and insights on EO investing, outline investment growth opportunities, barriers, and solutions, and showcase scalable EO initiatives that can attract more capital. The Roadmap draws on lessons from broader impact investing and related sectors (e.g., gender lens, climate) from interviews conducted in the first part of 2025 to advance EO from a nascent to a mature market at scale, attracting significantly more capital.

This survey invites input from across the EO field to assess the key levers, strategies, and barriers to growth. Your responses will help guide the Roadmap’s development. Thank you for sharing your perspective!
