First Issue Area: Health Care/Long-Term Care

Long term advocacy goals:

1. Protect Medicaid expansion;

2. Ensure that consumers receiving long term care services receive enough services to live in the community;

3. Ensure that consumers who need long-term care services have the choice to live in the community rather than institutional settings
1.How do you currently pay for healthcare?
2.If you have transitioned from a nursing home or hospital back home, did you have adequate supports to help with that transition process?
3.Do you have issues finding in-home providers?
4.Have you ever been denied for a waiver or for waiver services? Do you believe you would benefit from services provided by a waiver?
5.Have you had any other issues in accessing healthcare?
6.Are you concerned about COVID-19 insurance coverage or are you having other health care issues related to COVID-19?
