In the event that you are deemed to be a missing person, the University of Hawaii at Mānoa will notify the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) within 24 hours of the time you are determined to be missing. In addition, UH Mānoa will also contact the person whom you have designated as your CONFIDENTIAL CONTACT in the event that you are determined to be missing, as well provide HPD with your CONFIDENTIAL CONTACT information.
On your housing application, you listed an EMERGENCY CONTACT. The Emergency Contact is alerted in the event that you are involved in an emergency and are unable to contact your emergency contact yourself. If you do not designate a CONFIDENTIAL CONTACT, your emergency contact will be notified if you are deemed to be a missing person.
