Introduction

Join the conversation! The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District’s seeks your input to inform the 2018-19 Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). Your participation is valued as we continue to align our goals and financial resources.

The LCAP process is an important way for students, parents, educators and the community to engage in MPUSD's decision making. It is a critical part of California's funding formula and describes MPUSD's overall vision for students, annual goals, and specific actions and measurable outcomes.

To meet the state’s eight priorities of student achievement, implementation of Common Core State Standards, course access, student engagement, school climate, basic services, parental involvement, and other student outcomes, MPUSD focuses on four goals that are essential to preparing all students for college and career:

- Improve outcomes for all students and eliminate performance gaps.
- Recruit, develop and retain a diverse, high quality staff.
- Provide high quality learning environments for all students and staff.
- Maintain the fiscal solvency of the district and align resources to improve student performance.

This survey asks you to prioritize what is important to you in the areas of the state's eight priority areas.
