The CBU BucBand is CBU's official Pep Band. We will be playing at several Home volleyball and basketball games, as well as possible other events. Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. There will also be a band fee of $25, which will be due sometime in late September or early October.
The auditions will be held Thursday, September 20th, 2018 in Rosa Deal 111 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. You may come and audition at any point during this time interval. If you are not able to try-out between these times, please let one of us know via email by Tuesday, September 18th, 2018 and we can arrange something for you.
Wind instruments, you should prepare two major scales and one harmonic minor scale. Feel free to play these at whatever tempo and however many number of octaves you want. You will also be required to do some sight reading (Don't worry, it won't be too difficult). Also make sure to bring your instrument.
Rhythm section instruments, you will be asked to perform a series of fundamentals that you should know, and if you're able to read sheet music, you'll be asked to sight-read.
