Governance - supports strategic recruitment, effective board engagement, ensuring compliance with nonprofit regulations, reviewing governance-related changes, nominating new board members, assessing board composition for equitable representation, and updating recruitment and orientation practices.

Finance - ensures financial health and resilience of NEW, regularly reports financial performance to the Mission Circle, provides strategic guidance to staff leadership on developing long-term financial strategy, and oversees the annual audit process.

Strategy & Impact - guides NEW's strategic growth and impact, ensuring alignment with core values of justice and collective liberation. Fosters innovation and collaboration in our work, interpreting data to advise on strategy adjustments, evaluating growth opportunities and community impact, and collaborating with the Finance Committee to ensure financial planning and strategies align with NEW's resilience and mission.

Resource Mobilization Ambassadors - assists NEW with its annual and project-based fundraising and communications efforts, actively reviews, develops, adopts, and implements innovative strategies to attract funds, partnerships, and participants essential for advancing NEW’s mission. Shares power with the communities we serve, promoting deeper partnerships and community consent in our fundraising and communication approaches.
