Envision a New Way Forward

NAMI Seattle stands in support of Black Lives Matter Seattle/King County and other Black organizers leading the movement to dismantle racist systems in Seattle and beyond, including divesting funds from police departments and investing in resources that meet the needs of the community.

NAMI’s movement to decriminalize mental illness has always been a call to replace policing and prisons with services and support. In an ideal world, in an ideal Seattle, what would this new system look like for you?

We’ll share these visions with our community and use them as inspiration as we move on in support of Black lives, in opposition to racist systems, and in search of a new tomorrow.
