Question Title

* 15. Market Guidelines (these guidelines are attached to the application email for your future reference)

The Greeley Farmer’s Market Vendor Guidelines offer a framework for a safe and enjoyable market experience for both vendor and customers. Please review the contents of these guidelines before applying as a vendor to be in the farmers’ market.
The Greeley Farmers Market was started in 1993 at the historic Union Pacific Depot in downtown Greeley, CO. It started as a seasonal market and has now become a year-round market that offers a wide variety of locally grown and produced food, including fresh and in-season produce, meats, honey, bread, and other backed goods.
The Greeley Farmers' Market is primarily for fresh food vendors, value-added food producers, artisans/crafters and services related to the culinary arts. All food and products must be grown, raised, or made in Colorado. Preference is given to vendors with products from Weld County, Colorado. If you have a farm partner and are selling their products, none of their products can be sold without the farm partner’s written permission on file with the City of Greeley and adequate signage at your booth stating the partnership.
SCHEDULE
The Summer Market is held every Saturday May 3 to October 25 and features live entertainment by local musicians and various community partners. During the winter season, the market is held on the 1st and 3rd (and occasional 5th) Saturdays of the year at Zoe’s Café and Events: 715 10th St., Greeley, CO.
The deadline to apply for the 2025 Summer Market is April 5, 2025. The deadline to apply for the 2025 winter market is October 11, 2025.

FOOD EQUITY
The Greeley Farmer’s Market participates in the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB), and the Women, Infants, and Children Farmers Market Nutrition Programs (WIC FMNP). All accepted vendors agree to participate in these programs and accept SNAP/EBT, DUFB, and WIC FMNP for qualifying products.

VENDOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The Greeley Farmers’ Market Guidelines are intended to ensure a robust market and a variety of vendor offerings for the public as well as maximum participation and success for vendors. Behavior that puts the safety of public or peer vendors at risk or causes anyone to feel unsafe will not be tolerated. Failure to adhere to these guidelines could result in disciplining action including dismissal. See Grounds for Dismissal below (page 4).

Vendors must obtain and display in a visible location at each booth the following required certifications:

- Cottage Food Training Certificate or Retail Food Establishment permit
- Certificate of Insurance for General Liability and Product Liability Insurance with City of Greeley named as additional insured.
- Department of Agriculture Broker licenses
- Greeley Business License

Vendors shall display a sign that lists their farm/business name and location (such as county or nearest town). Vendors may request lamination of signs to the Market Manager two (2) weeks prior to the first day of the farmers’ market. Vendors must provide tables, tents (10'x10') with weights for each tent leg. Tents without weights will be asked to be taken down for safety reasons.
Vendors are required to report total sales for each market day. This information is used as a data tool only for purposes of City Council reports, performance measures and grant opportunities.
