AIEA Discussion: University Alliance for Refugees and At-Risk Migrants (UARRM) RSVP |
Post-Conference Event
Wednesday, February 21
2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Washington Marriott Wardman Park
Growing concerns within the university community over refugees, displaced peoples, and at-risk migrants have prompted the formation of an alliance between academia, professional associations, and NGOs. Under the acronym UARRM, the alliance is intended to share and disseminate research, information, and best practices, to build bridges between the many contributions being made to understand and advocate for support for these communities. This AIEA Discussion will be a continuation of discussions held in other venues. Conference registration is not required, as we are seeking participation from a broad cross-section of interested parties.
Chair: Thomas Bogenschild, University of Oregon
Colleen Thouez, UNITAR
Terence Miller, Marquette University
