Technology at work has changed dramatically since NSW workplace surveillance laws were written. Workers are now monitored by phones, apps, GPS, cameras, wearable devices, computer systems, productivity scores and AI. The space between work and home has also changed, with many workers doing work from home or using personal devices for work.
This confidential survey asks NSW workers about surveillance, monitoring, automated decisions and the impact these systems have on privacy, stress, safety and dignity at work. Responses may be used in de-identified research, campaign materials, media, submissions and advocacy to support modern workplace surveillance laws that keep humans responsible for decisions and protect workers from invasive monitoring.
