Many thanks for taking the time to complete this Magazine Journalism Survey, it should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
This will form the basis of our BA in Magazine Journalism for 2020. The only personal information you will be required to submit is your age, gender and current occupation, and your responses will be collected anonymously. There is an optional question where you can leave an email address if you are happy to take part in a focus group for the magazine project, but this is entirely at your own discretion and is not a necessary requirement for the survey. Should we contact you further, we will always ask your consent again (if you are under the age of 18, we will also require parental consent).
If you decide you want to withdraw at any point, simply close the browser or email us at the address below by 8th December. Please note that we will not be retaining any information about your identity and there will be no record that links the data collected from you with any personal data from which you could be identified. The data will be stored securely in a password protected folder for one year and only members of the magazine journalism courses at the University of Sheffield will be able to access them, thereafter will be destroyed. You have the right to withdraw any future participation or any of the data collected without giving a reason.
The survey is to assess the demand for :A magazine aimed at fans of non-league football teams and players and managers of those teams. It will be a look into the world of non-league and be an antidote to how the Premier League is in 2019. This magazine will show football at its core and what football is supposed to be about. Football is about communities and players who put in everything for their club regardless of money and this magazine will champion and highlight that. The magazine aims to focus on the human side of clubs, managers, players, fans If you would like to contact me at any point my email is lnelson2@sheffield.ac.uk
