Black bass (largemouth and smallmouth) management in Connecticut has a long history, with the most recent management regulations taking effect in 2002. Fish population data collected since 2002 indicate that our current regulations are having little effect in improving bass size and population structure. To help improve quality bass fishing in Connecticut, the Fisheries Division would like your feedback and comments to the following questions. Please note that this survey does not in any way cover striped bass, only largemouth and smallmouth. Your responses will be used to help inform the Fisheries Division about angler preferences and desires as we move forward with development of a statewide bass management plan. Please feel free to contact us anytime by phone at 860.424.FISH, by email at deep.inland.fisheries@ct.gov, or to get more information visit our web site at www.ct.gov/deep/fishing
