Rules for Nominating

  • The nominee must have an undergraduate, graduate or doctorate degree from Wingate University.
  • Nominations for the 2020 Alumni Awards must be received by the Office of Alumni Relations by midnight on April 15, 2020.
  • The nominator must complete the nomination form entirely.
  • A nominator may nominate more than one person, but they should designate exactly one category per nominee. The nominator does not need to be a graduate of the university.
  • Alumni awards will be presented during Homecoming weekend as part of the Blue Carpet Gala. If the award winner accepts, he/she is expected to attend the ceremony. Exceptions may be granted on an extremely limited basis.
  • Alumni cannot receive the same award more than once, nor should they receive multiple awards within a five year period.
