Objectives:
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Summarize the basics of miRNA biogenesis and function.
2. Recognize the potential utility of miRNAs as disease biomarkers in body fluids and biopsies and how can this significantly improve patient management in the era of precision medicine.
3. Describe the challenges that face the use of miRNAs as clinical biomarkers and the transition from bench to bedside.
