11.For the 2027 ballot, one Council place (two places on the ballot) has been reserved for a non-academic member and one Council place (two places on the ballot) for an Early Career Researcher.

An Early Career Researcher is defined as an academic professional in the early stages of their research career, typically within five to ten years of completing their PhD.

Thank you for taking the time to nominate. Nominations close on 19 October 2026. The Nominations & Appointments Committee meet in November for shortlisting and we will be in touch with an update by 1 December 2026.

Note:
Successful candidates selected by the Committee will be contacted by the Elections Officer to confirm their willingness to stand for election and be included on the ballot.

For nominees that are not selected for the ballot, only the nominators will be contacted with the outcome.
