Welcome!

In May 2022, the government of Canada will go before a United Nations Committee to review the work it has done over the last five years to promote and protect children’s rights. If you are under the age of 18, you hold special rights under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The government has asked us to design and promote this survey, to find out from children themselves what they think are the biggest issues they face today. Your answers will be used to help people understand what children in Canada know and think about their rights, and to tell the government how they can improve things in the future.

You can choose from the standard child and youth version of this survey, or an easy-read version. The easy-read version can be read by an adult to younger children who may not be able to answer the questions themselves.

All responses to this survey are anonymous and confidential, and you can stop at any time.
