1. WELCOME

The purpose of the Northeast Connector Corridor Project is to improve mobility and enhance connectivity for motorized and non-motorized users.  Please take a few minutes to share your views on the project’s function and design elements. Comments received, along with the physical, technical and budget opportunities and constraints will guide the development of the design of the corridor.  Thank you!
2. PRIORITIES

Question Title

* What features are important to you in relation to the Bannerman Road Corridor? (-Rank, 1 being your highest priority, 6 being your lowest - Please identify as many features as are important to you as highest priority "1," and likewise multiple features may share the same rank in your response, reflecting their priority for you.)

  1 2 3 4 5 6
Shorter travel times
Alternatives to Driving (Bike, Transit, Rideshare)
Beautification of Corridor (Enhanced Landscaping, Decorative Lighting, Benches, Water Fountains)
Environmental Protection and Preservation
Multimodal Facilities (Sidewalks, Multi-Use Trail)
Access to Restaurants and Retail along the Corridor
3. Design Elements
3.1 Intersection improvements are planned for this corridor. Both traditional, signalized intersections and roundabouts will be evaluated for key intersections along the corridor. Generally, the following are considerations for these intersection options:

Roundabouts support traffic flow, reduce delays, and can improve safety for vehicles. However, additional land may be needed to accommodate roundabouts and the pedestrian/bicyclist crossings on the approaching roads.

Traditional intersections use traffic signals (lights) to manage and move traffic. These intersections may have a smaller footprint compared to roundabouts and the pedestrian and bicyclist crossings.

Key intersections are identified below. Please indicate your preference regarding intersection options for these locations. Both intersection types will be evaluated and results presented in future community engagement. For roundabouts, options may include single or multiple lane configurations. Examples are provided above. Please indicate your preference below, noting selecting one roundabout doesn't preclude other roundabouts as all locations listed will evaluated for roundabouts.

Question Title

* 3.2 Separating the multi-use trail from the roadway with a landscape “buffer” increases the comfort and safety for users of the trail.  What width of landscape buffer would you consider ideal for the corridor? Note, the wider the buffer, the more likely private property will need to be acquired to provide the room needed.

Question Title

* 3.3 This project includes lighting study that will assess necessary lighting coverage and placement. Listed below are lighting style options. Note, decorative lighting styles (vintage and modern) are more expensive and may require more poles than the traditional highway light style, which provides greater coverage at a lower cost. What style of roadway lighting do you prefer?

Question Title

* 3.4 This project includes landscaping along the corridor, when considering the type and location of landscaping, do you prefer (check one)

Question Title

* 3.5 If trees are included in the landscaping along the corridor,  is there a particular type of tree you would like to see in the roadway median or along the multiuse trail?

Question Title

* 3.6 In an effort to support a variety of transportation options, which services would you use, if they were included along this corridor in this project? Check all that apply.

Question Title

* 3.7 With the addition of a multi-use trail and/or sidewalks, would you consider using alternative forms of transportation to access retail and commercial centers along the corridor from your home or business?

Question Title

* If Yes: Check all that apply.

Question Title

* 3.8 Pedestrian/cyclists crossings at intersections are included in this project. In addition to crossings at intersections, “mid-block” crossings, like the N. Meridian Road crossing shown here, may be added to improve safety and connectivity. Are there locations where you feel crossings are needed  (Check all that apply)
