Introduction

The Alabama Communities of Excellence (ACE) program provides technical resources and tools to help communities ensure long-term economic success.  Candidates for the ACE program are selected using a competitive application process, and ACE is pleased to announce that your community has been selected to join the ACE program. 

ACE uses a comprehensive three-phase program that offers a systematic approach for fostering community development.  During the first phase, ACE sends a team of technical experts to visit the community and meet with the City's leadership and residents to discuss a broad range of topics including Leadership Development, Strategic and Comprehensive Planning, Economic Development, Infrastructure, Education and Quality of Life.  Based on the information and impressions received during this Assessment Visit, the ACE Team develops a comprehensive "report card" detailing community assets and recommending possible strategies. 

 Prior to this Assessment Visit by the ACE Team, the community is asked to complete a self-assessment survey.  We invite you to become a part of the ACE process by completing this ACE Citizen Community Assessment Survey.
