Huntingburg City Park Revitalization

The City of Huntingburg intends to apply for a Land & Water Conservation Fund grant through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. This program was established to assist with preservation, development, and ensure access to outdoor recreation for current and future generations. These are Federal funds through the U.S. Department of Interior, National Park Service.

If approved, grant funds will be used to revitalize the playground at City Park just North of League Stadium. While the project is not directly located within a floodway, a floodway does run alongside it. The proposed project will include decommission/remove the existing playground and install a new playground that will be fully accessible to individuals of all abilities.
