The WSIA Education Foundation is offering a new College Faculty Grant Program to help educate faculty on the wholesale, specialty and surplus lines industry. These grants would provide funding for conferences, meetings with WSIA members, visits to Surplus Lines Associations, WSIA University, etc. Faculty in turn would transfer this knowledge back to their students through courses or GIS chapter meetings. The key factor is that the event must have an E&S focus/aspect to it.

General Guidelines:
  • Up to $50,000 in grants can be funded annually with a maximum amount of $10,000 per grant.
  • It is the responsibility of the applicant to illustrate how the request will promote visibility, awareness and understanding of the wholesale, specialty and surplus lines market to students.
  • Grant requests should not include events that are already funded or highly subsidized such as the WSIA Education Foundation symposiums.
College Faculty Grant required components:
  • Brief summary/description of the request
  • Outline of the goals and objectives of the request
  • Breakdown of funds required to support the request
  • Description of how the knowledge gained will be shared with students
Deadline:
  • There is not a specific submission deadline for these grants. Proposals are considered on a first come, first served basis.
