LGBTQ+ Young Adults: Be A Part of Write On!
Young adults (ages 18-25) use your voice, write your truth, and inspire others!
Write On! is a writing and advocacy program for people who want to become powerful storytellers and self-advocates. If you are selected to participate, you will advance your skills as a writer, learn how to use writing as a therapeutic tool in recovery, develop the confidence to share your work through online media channels, and join an community of other young writers.
Write On! is a writing and advocacy program for people who want to become powerful storytellers and self-advocates. If you are selected to participate, you will advance your skills as a writer, learn how to use writing as a therapeutic tool in recovery, develop the confidence to share your work through online media channels, and join an community of other young writers.
Classes will run virtually via Zoom on Thursdays beginning March 16th and ending April 27th with a "live" virtual reading on May 3rd. Class time will be 7:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m. All interested participants must complete the following application to be considered for entry into the Write On! program. Class size is limited to 25 participants.
Please submit your application by March 9th to be considered.
If you meet the following criteria, you will be considered as a candidate for selection:
1) I am a part of the LGBTQ+ community, am a young adult (age 18-25), and want to use writing and storytelling to improve my mental health and wellness journey (*Note: you may choose to have your work published under a different name)
2) I have goals of being a storyteller or writer (for personal or professional purposes), and can commit to attending and participating in an 8-week writing workshop
3) I can submit a writing sample of up to 500 words as a part of this application
