Centralized Enrollment - Parents |
The Chesapeake Public Schools Program Evaluation Team is currently assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of a new student enrollment practice that uses a centralized approach versus the current decentralized approach in which new students are enrolled at the school they are assigned to attend.
A centralized approach to new student enrollment typically includes one or more central enrollment sites where parents of all new students go to complete the student enrollment process (i.e., complete enrollment forms, provide required documentation). Central enrollment centers also may house support staff who can provide parents with information related to other services such as free or reduced-price meal applications, special education, ESL language assessments, and health and immunization services.
As part of the data collection activities for this evaluation, parents are invited to complete a short online survey. We would appreciate receiving your input by October 31, 2016, at which time the survey will close.
