For what purposes do we collect personal information?
The purpose for collecting your personal information is to enable the Trust to:
  • collate and analyse data about usage of Wellington Park (when used in this Survey Collection Notice, the term ‘Wellington Park’ has the meaning given to it in the WP Act); and
  • communicate with you regarding the visitation and recreation strategy for Wellington Park (the ‘Strategy’), including sending Trust updates, newsletters, notifications, invitations to participate in surveys, workshops, details of events.
Are you required to provide personal information?
You provide us with your personal information entirely voluntarily. If you choose not to consent or to provide us with your personal information, the Trust may not be able to provide you with information you have requested or contact you in the future. This means your opportunities to participate in the development of the Strategy may be limited as we would not be able to provide you with information on the progress of the Strategy or notify you of further surveys or opportunities to comment on the Strategy.

We may disclose your personal information to our employees, contractors or third party service providers including our IT service providers.

How will we use your survey responses?

Where survey responses do not include personal information, the information you provide in this survey will be used to inform the preparation of the Strategy.

We are collecting data on visitation patterns and trends, recreational uses within Wellington Park. We also want to know more about why people visit and use Wellington Park, what they value about Wellington Park, what they think about their experiences in the park and how Wellington Park could be managed in the future.

Data will be collated and analysed to enable to enable the Trust to understand trends and patterns of visitation and use and to gather ideas and feedback (qualitative data) on improvements in management, facilities and services that users and land managers provide.
