Student Rep to the Board FY2018-19 Application

Thank you for considering the leadership position, Student Rep to the Board for the Washington Metro Chapter of ASID for FY2019.  The SRB is an ambassador for ASID, who promotes the value of ASID membership to students, while serving as the liaison between the professional chapter board and the student body. This position fills an equal, voting seat on the Washington Metro professional chapter board.

SRB at a Glance Job Description

• Represent all student chapters and independent student members within the chapter.
• Attend monthly professional chapter board meetings.
• Visit all schools within the Washington Metro Chapter, at least once throughout the school year to promote ASID.
• Maintain communication with chapter board, student affairs chair, student chapter presidents, faculty advisors, and student members.
• Maintain and update contact information for student chapter officer rosters.
• Assist in strategic planning of chapter-sponsored student programs and events.
• Assist the chapter student affairs committee in coordinating chapter-sponsored student programs and events.
• Encourage student participation in all chapter programs.
• Orient successor SRB.

Who can serve as SRB & length of term?

• Any student who is a current or joining member of ASID Washington Metro Chapter is eligible to apply.
• You must be a student during the term for which you are applying.
• The ideal candidate must demonstrate organization and leadership capabilities.
• Position is held for one year - October 1 through September 30.
