Evaluation of Kaleen traffic managment scheme |
From April to June 2015, Roads ACT implemented traffic management measures on Maribyrnong Avenue, Ellenborough Street, Daintree Crescent and Onkaparinga Crescent to reduce travelling speeds and improve road safety in the area.
Treatments implemented include three pedestrian refuge islands, a channelised right turn lane and a raised pedestrian crossing on Maribyrnong Avenue, modifications to the roundabout at the intersection of Maribyrnong Avenue and Ellenborough Street, a pedestrian refuge island on Ellenborough Street and speed cushions on Daintree Crescent and Onkaparinga Crescent.
An evaluation of the effectiveness of these traffic management measures is currently underway. Community consultation is a key component of this evaluation.
