Bi-State Development announced it will move forward with a one-car train pilot on the Red and Blue Lines at its September 10 Board of Commissioners’ meeting. Meeting materials, including a presentation on the pilot can be accessed via the Bi-State Board of Commissioners page here:

According to a report to the board, the pilot is structured to provide sufficient operational data, including during winter operating conditions, to allow a final recommendation to be made by February 2027 and, if successful, position Metro Transit for implementation beginning in March 2027.
